Georgia Lee Damron

    Georgia Lee Damron, age 100, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Georgia was born on Feb. 5, 1925 to her parents the late John Branham and Draxie Johnson Branham.  She was the wife of the late Creed Damron, a retired school teacher for the Pike County Board of Education, and later worked as the Director of Pike County Senior Citizens.  She was a member of the Virgie Alliance Church.

     Along with her husband and parents, Georgia was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Ditty, two brothers, T.T. Branham and James Ottis Branham.

     Georgia is survived by three daughters, Susie (Roy) Damron, Creeda (Mike) Adkins, Janey Brooks, four grandchildren, Candi (Michael) Roberts, Chad (Heather) Damron, Becky Jo (Kevin) Robinson, Rusty Brooks, eight great grandchildren, Morgan, Connor, Cameron, Hunter, Carter, Tyler, Sarah Jo, Hannah, one great great grandchild, Kinsley Brooke and a host of loving family and friends.

    Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Thursday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Friday, June 27, 2025 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Richie Roberts and Jerry Adkins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Shelbiana, Ky.
