Gary Bernard Hall

Gary Bernard Hall, age 83, of Jenkins, KY, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 6, 2020, following a short stay at Pikeville Medical Center. Gary was born in Haymond, KY, on April 27, 1937, to his parents the late Sam P. and Lula Anderson Hall, He was a welder who worked for Beth-Elkhorn for 20 years then opened his own business doing welding and repair work. He was a proud member of the United Mine Workers of America. He gave his life to the Lord in 1997 and spent every day since living his life for Jesus Christ. He was a deacon and member of Payne Gap Freewill Baptist Church. Gary was the husband of Elizabeth Hall. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Lorie Ann Thompson, his first wife, Dorothy Damron Hall, two brothers and a sister. Gary is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth " Betty" Wassum Hall, sons Gary Allen (Rhoda) Hall of Troy, Mich., Dean (Theda) Hall of Macclenny, Fla., daughter Martha (Joe) Milner of Terre Haute, Ind., and son-in-law, Jackie Thompson of Dandridge, Tn. He is survived by grandchildren Drew (Whitney) Hall, Jordan (Hannah) Hall, both of Macclenny, Fla., Brandon (Laura) Hall of Troy, Mich., Jacie Thompson of Lexington, Ky., and Emily (Chris) Milner Thompson of Terre Haute, Ind. He was survived by six great grandchildren, two sisters, Janelle Parker of Alexandria, Va., and Mary Edith Stallard of Chatsworth, Ga., sister-in-law, Marietta Hall of Dalton, Ga., and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Payne Gap Freewill Baptist Church. Visitation will be November 10, 2020, Tuesday, 11:00 AM at the Payne Gap Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral will be November 10, 2020, Tuesday, 1:00 PM at the Payne Gap Freewill Baptist Church, with Hollis Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in the Hall Family Cemetery at Fleming Neon, Ky.
