Gale R. "Gene" Johnson

Gale R. "Gene" Johnson, age 80, of Pikeville, Ky., passed away at his home on August 14, 2020. Gene was born in Pike County, KY on September 20, 1939, to his parents the late James Howard Johnson and Nora Belcher Johnson. Gene was a believer of the Freewill Baptist Faith and was a retired coalminer. He was the husband of the late Geraldine Johnson. Gene was preceded in death by his wife and parents. Gene was survived by a son, Howard Rondell Johnson, one brother, Paul R. Potter and one grandson, Tyler Johnson (Dreama Kinder) and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, August 17, 2020, at 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Plennie G. Sawyers. Burial will follow in the Big Hackney Cemetery at Mouthcard, Ky.
