Eugene "Gene" Damron

Eugene "Gene" Damron, Age 87, from Berea, Ky, passed away, Wednesday, January 28,2026 at his residence. He was born on September 8, 1938, the son of the late Bertam and Ella Tackett Damron. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sons, Timmy Damron and infant son, Jeffrey, by three brothers, Haskel, Fred and Johnny, by an infant brother, by four sisters, Nella Mae Bartley, Christine Damron, Mary Jane Damron and Joan Newsome and by one infant sister.

Before his retirement, Eugene was a self employed Brick Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Gay Justice and by his daughter, Tammy Lynn Damron Jackson. Eugene is survived by two grandchildren, Cory Jackson and Casey Rose; as well as two great-grandchildren, Jayden Jackson and Brylee Jackson. He will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, after 6 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Tom Harding officiating. Burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery at Pikeville, KY
