Emery Slone

    Emery Slone, age 67, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Emery was born on October 12, 1951 to his parents the late Ervin Slone and Madge Inis Coleman Slone.  He was the husband of Delores J. Hamilton Slone, a master plumber for Pike County Board of Education and a member of Grassy Freewill Baptist Church for over nineteen years.      Along with his wife, Emery is survived by one daughter, Bethany Ann Slone Gabbard and her husband, Joseph M. Gabbard of Nicholasville, Ky., one brother, Sterling Arnold Slone of Howard, Ohio, one sister, Emma Sue (Harry) Ratliff of Raccoon, Ky., and one granddaughter on the way, and a host of loving family and friends.      Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Thursday night will be visitation only.  The funeral will be Friday, May 31, 2019 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Larry Goff and Brad Williamson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Shelbiana.  Active pallbearers will be Lowell Hamilton, Jeff Hamilton, Steve Newsom, Steven Goff, Harry Ratliff, Danny Slone, and honorary pallbearers will be Delaney Newsom, Acie Newsom, Roger Blackburn, Jeff Justice, Billy May, Roddy Varney, and Jack Charles.
