Eloise Coleman

Eloise Coleman, age 95, of Wolfpit, Elkhorn City, Ky. passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Eloise was born in Pike County, Ky, on March 31, 1926, to her parents the late Lon Anderson and Caroline Epling Anderson. Eloise was a retired employee from the Pike County Board of Education, as a cook at Millard Grade School. Eloise was a member of the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church. She was the wife of the late Russell Coleman. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, Pauline Coleman, Mildred Murphy, two brothers, Ed Anderson, John Anderson, three great grandchildren, Aaron, Laykin and Ronnie. She is survived by a son, James Russell Coleman, (Twilia), a daughter, Barbara Whetsel, a brother, Lon Anderson, Jr. Eloise is survived by seven grandchildren, Janet, Barbara Ann, William, Richard, Steven, Josh, Tiffanie, thirteen great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, August 14, 2021, 6:00 PM and August 15, 2021, at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with services each night at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be Monday, August 16, 2021, 1:00 PM at the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church at Wolfpit, Ky. Burial will follow in the John Coleman Cemetery at Wolfpit, Ky.
