Eddie Wayne Abshire

Eddie Wayne Abshire, age 69, passed away Saturday, Sept. 2, 2019 at the Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center.  Eddie was born on Nov. 13, 1949 to his parents the late Hassel Abshire and Jettie Kendrick Abshire.  He was a member of the American Legion, a retired coal miner for Kentland Coal Company, and he also served his country honorably in the United States Army.      Along with his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his half brother, Hassell Abshire Jr.      Eddie is survived by three daughters, Brenda Abshire Music, Linda Abshire Martinez, Harley Abshire Forsythe, one son, Brenton Wayne (Claire) Abshire, one half sister, Dixie, six grandchildren, Brooklynn Bunch, Selena Coleman, Sasha Perez, JoJo Pike, Asher Abshire, Maxwell Abshire, one great grandchild, Miyah Estep, and a host of loving family and friends.     Visitation will be Tuesday at 4p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 7p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jason Johnson officiating.
