Dorothy Gearhart

 Dorothy Jean Hopkins Gearhart age 61, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024 at her home of Shelbiana, Ky.  Dorothy was born on November 29, 1962 to her parents the late Homer Hopkins and Rosie Adkins Hopkins.  She was the wife of Gregory Allen Gearhart, a homemaker, and a believer of the christian faith.

     Along with her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by three brothers:  Darrell, Ronald Duke, and David Hopkins, and two sisters:  Izetta Hopkins and Phyllis Jean Matheny.

     Dorothy is survived by two sisters:  Deloris (Andy) Adkins, Tammy Adkins, two brothers, Dorby Hopkins and Dennis Ray (Patty) Hopkins, and a host of loving family and friends.

      Visitation will be Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Sunday March 3, 2024 1 P.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Reed Adkins officiating.  Entombment will follow in the Annie E. Young Mausoleum.
