Donnie Earl Adkins

Donnie Earl Adkins, age 71, of Shelbiana, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at his residence, He was born on April 4, 1954, the son of the late Ballard and Minnie Thacker Adkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Cletis Adkins, William (Bill) Adkins, Harold Adkins, Ronnie Adkins, and Ballard Jr. Adkins, and three sisters, Madlin Thacker, Rose martin, and Christine Adkins. 

Donnie was a heavy equipment operator for Cam Mining, and was of the Old Regular Baptist Faith

He is survived by his wife Lisa May Adkins, by one son, Donnie Lee Adkins (Melinda), one daughter Donna Casey, by three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Adkins, Abigail Adkins, and Kenzie Casey.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 6 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home, with special services beginning at 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 1 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Harvella Adkins and others officiating. Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
