Denny Keith Sowards

Denny Kevin  Sowards, age 70 passed away June 14, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.  Denny was born April 30, 1955 to his parents the late Matthew Thacker and his mother Mavis Thacker Norman.  He was a Respiratory Therapist and a believer of the Christian faith.  

Besides his mother Denny is survived by one son Dennis Blackburn, two daughters, Angel Sowards, Crystal Thacker Murphy, one brother James (Opie) Ratliff, two sisters Willa Thacker, Debbie Slone, three grandchildren Jordan Standifur, Elijah Moran, Ethan Blackburn, his best friends Charles (Lawanna) Mcguire, John (Shelly Roberts) Lewis and a host of loving family and friends.  

There will be a memorial service Friday June 20, 2025, from 2:00-6:00 PM at Lucas and Son Funeral Home.
