Dencil Dotson

Dencil Dotson, age 85, of Pikeville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  He was born on November 20, 1939, the son of the late Charlie and Pricey Estep Dotson.  

Before his retirement, Dencil was a self employed diesel mechanic.

Dencil is survived by his wife, Sandra Carpenter Dotson, by six daughters, Tammy Strong, Lisa Bush, Jill Dotson-Bryant, Penny Dotson, Sandy Lea Dotson and Hannah Marie Dotson, by two sons, Mark Dotson and Luke Dotson, by three sisters, Eula Faye, Dorothy and Marie, by one brother, Charlie Dotson Jr., and by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
