Debra Johnson

Debra "Hobbit" Johnson, age 66, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021 at the McDowell ARH Hospital. Debra was born on April 28, 1955 to her parents the late Jessie Gross and Mary Lewis Gross. She was a retired sales associate for Wal Mart. Along with her parents, Debra was preceded in death by one son, Carl Curtis Gross, and one sister, Dottie Clark. Debra is survived by her life long companion, Lance Dye, three children, Tammy (Adam Harrison) Stevens, James (Tammy) Shaffer, April (Paul) Smith, one brother, Timothy Gross, two sisters, Judy Johnson, Donna Price, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, her life long best friend, Lucy Elswick, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery
