Dean Ray Smith

Dean Ray Smith, age 68. of Caney. Pikeville, KY, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. Dean was born in Pike County, Ky. on May 23, 1952 to his parents the late Willard Smith and Quacie Charles Smith. Dean retired from CAM Mining Company. Dean was the husband of Barbara Sword Smith. Dean was preceded in death by four brothers, Junior Smith, Ed Smith, Pete Smith, and Bill Smith. Dean is survived by his wife Barbara Sword Smith, a son, Todd Smith (Heather), two brothers, Tom Smith, Tony Smith,(Carol); four sisters, Gaye Smith, Judy Smith, Fannie Smith, Curtis; Beverly Holloway, (Wayne); one granddaughter, Parker Smith, and his mother in law, Lucille Sword and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 6:00 PM with church services at 7:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral will be Friday, March 19, 2021, at 12 Noon, with Arnold Thornsbury officiating.
