Dawn Lois McKinney

Dawn Lois McKinney, age 75, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023 at her home. Dawn was born on January 9, 1948 to her parents the late Edward Shedlowsky and Ardella Snyder Shedlowsky. She was the wife of Dr. Edgar McKinney, a homemaker, a Woman of God, member of Victory Baptist Church, and the church secretary. Along with her husband, Dawn is survived by three children, Eric T. McKinney, Joshua L. (Ken) McKinney-Zarrilli, Joy E. (Andy) Sanders, one brother, Ronald Shedlowsky, three sisters, Sandra Rule, Cheryl Vanhorn, Luella Coata, eight grandchildren, Kaleb, Jesse, Audrey, Brody, Abbygayle, Paisley, Ben, Ashley, two great grandchildren, Jaxon and Amelia, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The visitation will begin at 12 noon on Friday at the Victory Baptist Church. Church services will begin Friday at 6p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11 A.M. at the Victory Baptist Church with Kaeb McKinney, Carl Harville, and Steve Spurlock officiating. Burial will follow in the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.
