Curtis Thacker

Curtis Stan Thacker, age 65, of Sellersburg, Indiana, formerly of Millard, Ky., passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at the Clark Memorial Health Care Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Curtis was born on Nov. 15, 1956 to the late Curt Thacker. He was the husband of Doris Ann Clevinger Thacker, a retired coal miner and maintenance director for Model City Day Care, and a member of the Powell's Creek Revival Center. Along with his father, Curtis was preceded in death by two brothers, Troy Bruce Thacker and Tracy Neil Thacker. Along with his wife, Curtis is survived by two daughters, Stacy (Brandon) Newsome, Lacy (Nicklaus) Rhoton, three grandchildren, Peyton Newsome, Lily Rhoton, and Ally Rhoton, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church serivces will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Stephen Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Clevinger Cemetery at Marrowbone, Ky.
