Corey Ryan Chaney

        Corey Ryan chaney, age 37, of Shelby Gap, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at his home.  Corey was born on January 18, 1987 to his parents Deborah McCarty Chaney and the late Herbert Lee Chaney.  He was a general laborer of construction and had worked in coal mines, and was a believer of the Freewill Baptist Faith.
     Along with his mother, Corey is survived by four children, Kaileigh Chaney, Jaxon Chaney, Katelynn Chaney, Emma Lee Chaney, the children’s mother Kara Chaney, one sister, Amanda (Steven) Wilson, two nieces, Sheyenne Habern, MaKayla Elkins, one nephew:  Bryce Wilson, and a host of loving family and friends.
     There will be a graveside service on April 5, 2024 at 11 A.M. at the McCarty Family Cemetery at Lower Pigeon with Neil Coleman officiating.
