Clyde Fields

Clyde Fields, a dedicated steel worker and cherished family man, was born on July 27, 1931, in Pike County, Kentucky. After a life of hard work and devotion, he passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, at the Pikeville Medical Center.

Clyde proudly served in the United States Army, a chapter of his life that showcased his commitment to his country and community. He was later employed as a steel worker at Great Lakes Steel, where he dedicated many years of his life to his craft.

Above all, Clyde was a loving father and grandfather. He leaves behind his sons, Randy (Cheryle) Fields of Washington State, Kenny Fields, and Mike Fields, along with his daughter, Karen (Bobby) Branham. His legacy also includes his beloved sister, Joann Coleman. Clyde was the proud grandfather of CJ Branham, Jessica Fields, Matthew Fields, Christina Wilde, and Heather Slone, as well as eight great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

Clyde was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Morris Fields; his father, Candy Fields; his mother, Lydia Akers Fields; and his daughter, Patti DeShetler. These losses have left a profound impact on his family, who will miss his warmth, guidance, and unwavering love.

A visitation to honor Clyde will take place on September 2, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lucas & Son Funeral Home located on US Highway 23 S in Pikeville, Kentucky. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM, proceeding to Annie E. Young Cemetery located on Chloe Road, where he will be laid to rest.

Clyde Fields will be remembered fondly for his contributions to both his profession and his family, and he leaves behind a legacy of strength, resilience, and love that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege to know him.
