Cletis Webb, a devoted family man and retired coal miner, passed away peacefully at his residence on October 5, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born in Pikeville, Kentucky, on September 25, 1942, to the late Brady and Ersie Webb. Cletis lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and a deep sense of community, qualities that resonated throughout the friendships he forged and the family he cherished.
Cletis spent many years of his life working in the coal mines, where he became known for his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to his job. His career was not just a profession; it was a testament to his resilience and steadfast nature. Beyond his work, he was admired for his kindness and the gentle wisdom he imparted to those around him.
He is survived by his daughter, Sabrina (Matt) Webb Moore, and his beloved grandchildren, Dylan (Dasha) Moore and Emilea Moore. Cletis also leaves behind his loving sisters, Birdie Webb Scott and Jeanette Webb Hunt, as well as his special aunt, Lillian Webb Debassige. The bonds he created with his family are irreplaceable, and his legacy will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Cletis was predeceased by his brothers Donnie, Clifford, and his sister Brenda Webb, as well as his sister Teresa Webb. These family ties shaped Cletis's character and influenced the values he instilled in his children and grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, which will be held at the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ in Phyllis, Kentucky, on Friday October 10, 2025, 6:00 PM . A funeral service will follow on Saturday October 11, 2025 at 12:00 PM, also at the same church.
