Carolean Newsome

Carolean "Carol" Harless Newsome, age 71, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021, at her home in Winchester, Ky. Carol was born on March 18, 1950 to her parents Maggie Compton Harless and the late James Harless. She was the wife of Brennan Newsome, a speech language pathologist for the Pike County Board of Education and nursing homes. Along with her husband and mother, Carol is survived by one son, William Eddie Yost, three sisters, Willa Dean Preston, Willa Jean Childers, and Corda Walker, two brothers, Steven Harless, Mike Harless, two grandchildren, Shannon Yost, Alex Yost, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday August 20, 2021 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Newsome Family Cemetery at Grethel, Ky.
