Carl Doug Yates

Carl Doug Yates, age 58, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in Pikeville. Doug was born on Nov. 9, 1961 to his parents the late Edgar Yates and Vada Maynard Yates. He was the husband of Delphia Pinion Yates, a coal miner, fire chief at Fed's Creek Fire Department, and a deputy sheriff. He was also a member of the Mouthcard Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Doug was preceded in death by eleven brothers. Along with his wife, Doug is survived by three sons, Gary (Heather) Pinion, Chris (Kayla) Pinion, Cody Pinion, one brother George Yates, nine grandchildren, Cameryn, Ashton, Cassie, Karson, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Cady, Keagan, Liam, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Chris Bartley officiating. Burial will follow in the Chaney Cemetery at Fed's Creek.
