Carl Mouse Compton

Carl "Mouse" Compton, age 61, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Carl was born on April 2, 1958 to his parents the late Ruby Crum Compton Tackett and Cornelius "Nealy" Compton.  He was the fiancee' of Carroll Reed, a retired truck driver, and a believer of the Pentecostal Faith.  He also served his country honorably in the United States Army.     Along with his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his father that raised him, Oscar Tackett, two brothers, Wallace Compton and Clifton Tackett, and three sisters, Nellie Tackett, Receiva Robinson, and Betty Barthemus.     Along with his fiancée, Carl is survived by one son, Alex Compton, two daughters, Carrie (Dom) Battista, Robbyn (Jason) Crooks, two brothers, Earmel Compton, Gary Tackett, five sisters, Linda Cole, Brenda Hayton, Elizabeth Burchett, Martha Howell, Pamela Abbott, four grandchildren, Liliana, Emery, Maddox, Cade, and a host of loving family and friends.     Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Arnold Thornsbury officiating.
