Brenda K. France - Ratliff

Brenda K. France - Ratliff, a cherished member of the Pikeville community, passed away peacefully at her home on September 5, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on August 4, 1952, in Pikeville, Kentucky, Brenda’s life was one filled with love, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to her work and family.

Brenda had a notable career with the Pike County Solid Waste Department, where she was known for her professionalism and her unwavering support for her colleagues. Her contributions to her community were significant and earned her the respect and admiration of those she worked alongside.

Brenda’s family was the center of her universe. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Wendy Renee Mullins, and a host of siblings: Ronald "Bub" (Teresa) France, Linda (Enos) Little, Denno (Judy) France, Gary (Deronda) France, Edith (Donald) Thacker, Shaolet Hall, and Keith (Lorrie) France. Her memory will live on through her grandchildren Krista Mullins, and Sydney Mullins, as well as her great-grandchildren: Kayden Mullins, Braxton Harmon, Colton Tackett, Raelynn Tackett, Renlee Tackett, and Grayson Harmon.

Brenda was preceded in death by her companion of 27 years, Ricky Ratliff, her son Ricky Lee Ratliff, and her brother Herman France Jr. She was also predeceased by her nephew David France, brother-in-law Keith Hall, and her parents, Herman and Bessie France. Each of these individuals held a special place in her heart, and their memories will always be cherished.

Visitation will be held on Sunday September 7, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 11:00 PM at Lucas & Son Funeral Home in Pikeville, Kentucky. A funeral service will take place the following day, Monday September 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Robert France Cemetery Hopkins Fork in Caney, Kentucky. Brenda's family invites all who knew and loved her to join them in celebrating her remarkable life.

Her spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have experienced her warmth, kindness, and unwavering strength.
