Bobby Ray Robinson, age 72, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his home. Bobby was born on May 5, 1948 to his parents the late Thomas Edgar Robinson and Lenora Adkins Robinson. Bobby Ray was the husband of Judy Carol Adkins Robinson, a mine foreman for Island Creek Coal Company, and a minister at Greasy Old Regular Baptist Church. He was also assistand moderator at Little Pond Old Regular Baptist Church and a member of the UMWA. Along with his parents, Bobby Ray was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Jo Slone and one sister, Judy Gail Adams. Along with his wife, Bobby Ray is survived by three children, Robert Ryan Robinson, Dana Carol (Jeff) Kendrick, Paul Thomas (Kelly) Robinson, three brothers, Miles, Jim, and Allen Robinson, four sisters, Kathy Kendrick, Debbie Slone, Tammy Adkins, Belinda Fouts, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Greasy Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 10a.m. at the Greasy Creek Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Adkins Robinson Cemetery at Greasy Creek.
