Billy Gene Tackett, age 68, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. Billy was born on October 31, 1955 to his parents the late Campbell Tackett and Geneva Tackett. He was the husband of the late Patty Rose Hamilton Tackett, a retired truck driver for Mullin's Trucking Company, and a Christian.
Billy is survived by two sons, Brandon Tackett, Kevin Tackett, two grandchildren, Haley D. Tackett, Kevin "JR" Tackett Jr., two brothers, David Tackett, Allen Tackett, three sisters, Mary Ann Tackett, Kitty S. Tackett Jennings, Patricia D. Tackett, special brother and sister in law and caretakers, Rocky (Mousie V.) Branham, and a host of loving family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 2 P.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Billy Compton officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
