Billy Blankenship

July 10, 1961 — August 16, 2024

   Billy Blankenship, age 63, passed away Friday August 16, 2024 at Pikeville Medical Center. Billy was born July 10, 1961, to his parents Jack and Francis Hamilton Blankenship. Billy was the husband of Marquerite Adkins and a believer of the Freewill Baptist faith.  

  Besides his parents, Billy was preceded in death by two brothers, Homer Blankenship and Tommy Blankenship.

   Along with his wife, Billy is survived by one stepdaughter Lynn (Gary) Adams, one stepson Dennis (Angie) Blackburn, two brothers Albert Blankenship, Jackie (Lou) Blankenship, three sisters Opal Justice, Emma Rich, Betty Atkinson, two grandchildren, Ethan Blackburn, Tyler Adams and a host of loving family and friends.

   Visitation will be Monday August 19, 2024, beginning at 6:00 pm with church service beginning at 7:00 pm at Lucas and Son Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Tuesday August 20, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Lucas and Son Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Blankenship Cemetery, Harolds Branch, Pikeville, Ky.
