Barbara Kay Roberts

Barbara Kay "Katie" Roberts, age 62, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Katie was born on April 23, 1958 to her parents the late Henry Clay Collier and Hazel Newsome Collier. She was the wife of Paskel Roberts, a homemaker, and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by infant twins, Jonathan and Sabrina Roberts, three brothers, James, Roy, and Ed Collier, and four sisters, JoAnn Roberts, Wanda Bowling, Ruth Moore, and Edna Collier. Along with her husband, Katie is survived by one daughter, Ada (Chico) Moore, two sons, Vernon (Genean) Roberts, Noah (April) Roberts, one brother, Carl Keith Collier, two sisters, Alice Akers, Geneva Hamilton, six grandchildren, Samantha, Austin, Kari, Zach, Kaytlynn, Sabrina, one great granddaughter, Brynnleigh, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with James Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Rob Damron Cemetery at Virgie.
