Barbara Sue Lowe

Barbara Sue Lowe, age 79, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Barbara was born on Nov. 25, 1940 to her parents the late Arthur "Red" Little and Ethel Tackett Little. Barbara was the wife of the late James Kenneth Lowe, a retired employee from BB&T Bank where she worked for over 26 years as a branch manager, loan officer, and many other titles over the years. Barbara was also a member of the Methodist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Barbara was preceded in death by one son, Mark Kenneth Lowe. Barbara is survived by one son, James Tracy (Melina) Lowe, one sister, Linda Kay Lyon, one granddaughter, Allison Marie (Ermal) Causey, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, May 22, 2020 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Tim Swanston and Steve Spurlock officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery. Due to the covid guidelines no food can be brought into the funeral home. Our lounge has to remain closed at this time.
