Barbara Lou Johnson

Barbara Lou Slone Johnson, age 71, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Barbara was born on Dec. 2, 1949 to her parents the late Bennie Slone and Maggie Thacker Slone. She was the wife of Ronald Johnson, a homemaker, and a member of the Grace Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by three brothers, Linton Lee Slone, Matt Greenie Slone, and Joe Michael Slone. Along with her husband, Barbara is survived by two daughters, Rhonda (Tim) Herring, Ashley Johnson, one son, Seth Johnson, one brother, Richard Slone, four sisters, Gracie Mullins, Rosemary Stewart, Debra Slone, Maggie Ratliff, two grandchildren, Mitchell Taylor, Marissa Taylor, and a host of loving family and friends. There will be a private family funeral with Josh Howell officiating and burial to follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
