Audrey Thacker, age 82, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Audrey was born on Feb. 6, 1942 to her parents the late Ken Akers and Thelma Painter Akers. She was the wife of the late Jim Thacker, a homemaker, and a believer of the Jehovah Witness Faith.
Along with her husband and parents, Audrey was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Audrey is survived by five children, Pamela Preston, Greg (Tammy) Thacker, Lisa (Darrin) Lawson, Michael Thacker, Regina (Billy) Tussey, two sisters, Ruth Bagyi, Mazel Ramey, two brothers, Rob Akers and Homer Akers, six grandchildren, April Thacker, Tasha Justice, John Justice, Bo Lawson, Darrin Chase Lawson, Austin Lawson, five great grandchildren, Arya, Jayce, Jaxon, Brennan, Hayleigh, and a host of loving family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday, April 1, 2024 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Heiko Giese officiating. Entombment will follow in the Annie E. Young Mausoleum.
