Roger S. Burgess

Roger S. Burgess, age 87, of Pikeville, KY, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the U.K. Medical Center. He was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Burgess. Roger was a retired Assistant Police Chief for the City of Pikeville. He was also a member of Thomas C. Cecil Lodge # 375 F&AM. He is survived by one daughter, Natasha Liane Cornett of the state of Tennessee, by his caregiver, Madonna Wallen. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, after 6 p.m., at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Richard Dotson officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park. Masonic Rites will be held on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the El Hasa Temple, in Ashland, KY.
