Ruth Bartley

Ruth Kinney Bartley, age 80, passed away Wednesday, May 28th, 2008 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Ruth was born on October 25th, 1927 to her parents the late Stafford Kinney and Cynthia Branham Kinney. She was the wife of the late Varnell Bartley, a homemaker, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Along with her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death by one brother, James Kinney, and four infant children. Ruth is survived by one son, Ron Bartley of clewiston, Florida, two daughters, Linda Lou Cochran of Beefhide, Ky., Janice Ann Burke of Little Creek, two sisters, Ruby Hammond of Morristown, Tn., Maggie Bailey of Hope Mills, N.C., five grandchildren, Gina L. McBee, Jordan J. Cochran, Seth R. Cochran, Jeremy M. Burke, and Kimberly D. Click, four great-grandchildren, Alex C. McBee, Alissa N. McBee, Kyler J. Click, Lauren J. Burke, and a host of loving family and friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday, June 1st, 2008 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.
