Zelvia Arnette Adkins

Zelvia Arnette Adkins, age 86, of Jenkins, KY passed away on Monday, March 24, 2008, at the Letcher Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Magoffin County, KY, the daughter of the late Elliott and Virgie (McCoy) Arnette. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Freeman Adkins, and five brothers. She is survived by eight children, Freda (Robert) Epling of Jenkins, Peggy (Bobby) Williams of Jenkins, Joyce Adkins of Kingsport, TN, James (Shirley) Adkins of Mohawk, TN, Nina Brook Heider of Brunsbruck, GA, Ina (Robert) Huber of Austin, TX, Burneda (Tom) Neel of Clintwood, VA, and Anthony Adkins of Jenkins, one sister, Louanna Adkins of Jenkins, eleven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2008, after 6 p.m., at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Bethel Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Rob Ratliff Cemetery. Special services will be held on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
