John B. Spencer

John B. "Jack" Spencer, Jr., age 85, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Kindred of Louisville Hospital. He was born on Dec. 28, 1928 to his parents the late John B. Spencer and Nita Spangler Spencer. He was the husband of Ann Fraley Spencer, retired salesman for Austin Powder Company, and a member of the Grace Baptist Church. Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by one daughter, Nita Spencer, one brother, Bland Spencer and oen sister, Claire Wilson. In addition to his wife, John is survived by one daughter, Julia Childress of Borden, Indiana, one son, John Alan (Rick Cain) Spencer of Louisville, Ky., special great granddaughter, Haylee Coleman, three grandchildren, Paige, Stephen, and Annie, and three great grandchildren, Nita, Aaron, and Matthew and a host of loving family and friends. Vistiation will be Thursday at 5p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday July 4, 2014 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Bill Staggs officiating.
